Job Requirements

Role Purpose & Responsibilities

1. Operational Excellence (OpEx)

Drive a strong culture of Operational Excellence through effective implementation of Total Employee Involvement (TEI) and Daily Work Management (DWM) systems across the Pantnagar factory and central functions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead TEI and DWM deployment across shopfloor operations
• Manage TEI Portal including governance and performance tracking
• Ensure robust Kaizen validation and approval process
• Drive Rewards & Recognition (R&R) mechanisms to enhance employee engagement
• Prepare and maintain MIS dashboards and reporting systems
• Collaborate with Central (Hosur) team for standardization and best practices implementation

2. Precious Material Control (PMC)

Ensure effective governance, compliance, and audit assurance for precious material (gold and other precious metals) control processes across the Pantnagar factory and North region vendor locations through systematic physical stock audits and process evaluations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct periodic physical stock verification processes at the Pantnagar factory and North vendor locations.
• Verify inventory accuracy, traceability, reconciliation, and compliance with established PMC procedures.
• Assess the effectiveness of internal controls and identify risks related to precious material handling, storage, and movement.
• Monitor vendor compliance with PMC standards and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Track audit observations, ensure timely closure of action plans, and strengthen governance through continuous process improvements.
• Ensure adherence to organizational policies, statutory requirements, and precious material safety standards.

Area Coverage:

• Pant Nagar Factory
• North Region Vendor Locations (Pant nagar,Delhi, Jaipur, Udaipur, and Jodhpur – 10 vendors)

3. Job Location & Travel Requirement

• Base Location: Pantnagar
• Travel to regional vendor location

A. Operational Excellence

1. TEI (Total Employee Involvement) Implementation

• Drive TEI initiatives across all production areas (casting, polishing, setting, assembly).
• Implement: Suggestion schemes, Kaizen culture, Quality Circles
• Foster a problem-solving culture using QC tools (Why-Why, Fishbone, Pareto, PDCA).
• Monitor TEI KPIs: Participation rate, Ideas per employee, Implementation % and savings
• Conduct awareness programs and recognition initiatives to improve engagement.

2. DWM (Daily Work Management) System

• Deploy and sustain structured DWM practices across shopfloor:
• Develop visual management boards tracking:
• Ensure discipline in: Daily review cadence, Escalation and issue closure
• Drive accountability through data-based discussions and action tracking.

3. Continuous Improvement & Lean Initiatives

• Lead process improvement initiatives to enhance: Productivity, Quality,Cost efficiency
• Drive: 5S implementation and audits
• Waste elimination (rework, motion loss, material loss)
•  Execute cost-saving and efficiency improvement projects.

4. Shopfloor Governance & Performance Management

• Conduct regular Gemba walks to monitor adherence and identify gaps.
• Strengthen discipline in process execution and KPI tracking.
• Facilitate cross-functional coordination for problem resolution.

5. Capability Building

• Train employees on:
• TEI concepts
• DWM practices
• Lean tools

6. Data Analysis & Reporting

• Track key metrics:
• Generate dashboards and reports for leadership review.
• Use data analytics to identify trends and improvement opportunities.

B. Precious Material Control (PMC)

• Conduct periodic precious material audit process across pantnagar factory and North vendor locations.
• Coordination with TPA audit firm / Auditors & ensuring 100% Adherence on Audit completion
• Validate physical inventory against system records and investigate variances.
• Ensure compliance with PMC SOPs, policies, and control procedures.
• Identify control gaps, process risks, and material loss exposures.
• Monitor and closure of audit observations and CAPAs.
• Assess vendor compliance with precious material control requirements.
• Strengthen governance through risk-based audits and process improvements.
• Ensure adherence to security, statutory, and internal control standards.
• Conduct process audit to eliminate system errors, deviations and prevent pilferage.

Education

•        Graduate / Postgraduate,

•        Preferred - Mfg Engineering / Industrial Engineering /Operation management

 Language skills

•        Proficiency in English (written) and Hindi (spoken) is mandatory.

Relevant Experience

•        3 to 5 years of experience in Jewellery Mfg/ Sourcing/supply chain /Operations
