Key Responsibilities

Cloud Financial Management & Optimization

• Implement and maintain FinOps best practices across AWS, Azure, and/or GCP environments.
• Analyze cloud usage patterns and identify opportunities for cost optimization, including rightsizing, scheduling, storage optimization, and architectural improvements.
• Recommend or Develop automated cost saving scripts and policies using tools such as Lambda, Azure Functions, or Cloud Functions.
• Manage cost control mechanisms such as:

Reporting & Visibility

• Deliver monthly/quarterly cloud cost insights and recommendations to engineeringteam and SDMs.

• Partner with engineering teams to ensure cloud designs follow cost efficient architecture principles.
• Work closely with Finance and Procurement teams on cloud forecasting, budget planning, and vendor negotiations.
• Drive awareness and accountability through FinOps culture enablement, training, and consulting.
  
  

Automation & Tooling

• Recommend or Build automation for cost reporting, anomaly detection, and resource cleanup.
• Support in integrating cloud cost data with internal systems for analytics and forecasting.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in Cloud Engineering, FinOps, or Cloud Operations.
• Hands-on experience with at least one major cloud platform, preferably Azure (AWS/Azure/GCP).
• Strong understanding of cloud billing models, pricing, and consumption-based services.
• Experience with cost analysis dashboards and BI tools.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to interpret financial data.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• FinOps Certified Practitioner or FinOps Certified Professional.
• Experience in multi-cloud operational environments.
• Familiarity with Kubernetes cost allocation (Kubecost, OpenCost).
• Understanding of IT procurement and vendor negotiations.
