Senior project controller

We are seeking to appoint a Project controls specialist to work within Advisory vertical and support our ME team. This role offers an excellent opportunity to contribute to the successful delivery of complex and high-profile projects. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical capability, and hands-on experience in planning, controls, forecasting and digital reporting. 

Responsibilities

• Support project teams in fulfilling its contractual Project management obligations on projects during the execution phase

• Performs cost to complete analysis on projects and re-forecast the adjustment within the systems. Evaluates costs requirements versus budget limitations. 

• Develop, review and maintain integrated project schedules. Facilitate schedule workshops with project managers and discipline leads. Reviews performance trends, prepares analysis and monthly project performance reports.

• Develop and maintain invoice tracking system and support Project Managers with timely invoicing, documentation and follow-ups.

• Supports project manager in sub-consultant management throughout the project life cycle

• Produce accurate and timely project reports and develop automated project dashboards for project performance monitoring

• Prepares and assists in various levels of project reporting. Key contributor in the preparation of project reports following WSP way of working.

• Reviews performance trends, prepares analysis and cost impact and monthly project performance reports 

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, project management, construction management or related field
• 5 to 7 years of relevant experience in Project Controls 
• Proficiency with Primavera P6, MS Project, Power BI and advanced MS excel 
• Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams and managing complex portfolios
• Experience in process automation, dashboard development or digital transformation
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively across time zones.

Preferred

• Experience working with international teams particularly across the Middle East region
• Possession of industry-recognised project management certification(s) (e.g. PMP, APM or equivalent)

• Experience in implementing AI tools within project management processes will be considered an added advantage.
