About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with hands-on experience in Playwright and Cypress using JavaScript/TypeScript. The ideal candidate will work closely with our development and product teams to ensure the delivery of high-quality web applications through robust automated testing.

Key Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright and Cypress.

Implement E2E, functional, regression, smoke, and integration testing strategies.

Collaborate with developers, QA team members, and product managers to understand requirements and translate them into test cases.

Set up and maintain automation frameworks for both Playwright and Cypress.

Identify test coverage gaps and continuously improve automation coverage.

Analyze test results, identify bugs, and work with developers to resolve issues.

Participate in code reviews and contribute to QA best practices.

Maintain CI/CD test pipelines and integrate automated tests with build systems (e.g., GitHub Actions, Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD).

Write clear documentation for tests, processes, and tools used.

Required Skills & Experience

3+ years of experience in QA Automation.

Strong expertise in JavaScript/TypeScript.

Solid hands-on experience with Playwright and Cypress.

Experience with test automation in web applications (cross-browser testing, responsive testing).

Knowledge of REST APIs and experience testing APIs (using tools like Postman or supertest).

Familiarity with Git and version control workflows.

Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests into the development workflow.

Understanding of modern web application architecture and deployment practices.

Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Nice To Have

Experience with other testing tools such as Selenium, TestCafe, Jest, Mocha, or Puppeteer.

Knowledge of performance and load testing tools (e.g., Lighthouse, k6, JMeter).

Experience with Docker or containerized test environments.

Familiarity with BDD tools (e.g., Cucumber).

ISTQB or other QA certifications.

Soft Skills

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Detail-oriented with a focus on quality.

Ability to work both independently and in a team environment.
