Process Engineer (AI Process Optimization & Automation) | Experience - 5–7 Years

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Process Engineer with experience in process engineering, business process improvement, and AI-driven automation initiatives. The ideal candidate will work closely with Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Security, and Application teams to analyze, optimize, and standardize enterprise processes. This role focuses on documenting current-state processes, identifying automation opportunities, and collaborating with AI teams to enable intelligent, scalable workflows.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead process discovery and process engineering initiatives with a focus on AI-driven optimization and automation.
• Facilitate cross-functional workshops with Architecture, Engineering, Operations, Security, and Application teams to understand existing processes and identify improvement opportunities.
• Analyze current business and operational processes, identify inefficiencies, and recommend optimized future-state workflows.
• Design and manage cross-platform integrations that enable AI agents to perform actions and automate tasks programmatically
• Document end-to-end application onboarding processes across multiple teams and business functions.
• Convert process documentation into standardized Markdown (MD) templates and maintain process repositories.
• Collaborate with AI and automation teams to transform manual processes into AI-enabled workflows and intelligent automation solutions.
• Design and maintain reusable process templates, knowledge artifacts, and standard operating procedures (SOPs) for AI-enabled operations.
• Work with stakeholders to define process requirements, success criteria, and automation opportunities.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) by preparing test scenarios, validating AI-enabled use cases, documenting results, and coordinating defect resolution.
• Ensure process documentation is accurate, standardized, and aligned with organizational governance and compliance requirements.
• Continuously identify opportunities for process simplification, standardization, and operational excellence.

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Technology, Business, or a related field.
• 5–7 years of experience in Process Engineering, Business Process Management, Process Improvement, or Digital Transformation initiatives.
• Strong understanding of process mapping techniques (BPMN, flowcharts, SIPOC, value stream mapping, etc.).
• Experience facilitating stakeholder workshops and requirement-gathering sessions.
• Strong documentation skills with experience creating process documentation and knowledge articles.
• Experience converting documentation into Markdown (MD) format.
• Understanding of AI, Generative AI, Intelligent Automation, or workflow automation concepts.
• Experience working with cross-functional enterprise teams.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Experience with UAT planning, execution, defect tracking, and validation.

Preferred Skills

• Exposure to AI/ML-based process automation platforms.
• Experience with Microsoft Visio, Lucidchart, Miro, Confluence, Jira, or similar collaboration tools.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies.
• Knowledge of process mining tools and workflow automation platforms.
• Experience with enterprise application onboarding or IT operations processes.
• Certification in Lean, Six Sigma, BPM, or Process Excellence is an added advantage.
