Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead Technical Projects: Drive technical project activities, lead customer kick-off meetings, and ensure successful project execution from design to commissioning.
  • Customer and Project Management: Participate in project risk reviews, manage project budgets in term of man-days allocated to the engineering tasks, and provide regular progress updates.
  • Design and Documentation: Analyse customer specifications, write project technical documentation, and validate technical solutions with customers.
  • Technical Oversight: Specify software and IEDs, manage technical execution planning, and ensure adherence to GE Vernova safety standards.
  • Issue Resolution: Address technical deviations, manage fault reports, and support site engineers remotely or on-site.
  • Testing and Commissioning: Lead Factory Acceptance Tests, Site Acceptance Tests, and coordinate with commissioning teams for major site milestones.
  • Training and Support: Provide project-specific training to customers, support tendering and commercial teams, and ensure customer satisfaction through professional project execution.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Educational Background: B.E or BTech. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Experience: Over five years of control system-related experience.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of Substation Automation, Communication Protocols (IEC 61850, Modbus, IEC103, IEC104), Networking concepts, Communication architecture, Database configuration, IED integration, Testing, Validation of SAS systems
  • Knowledge of Protection overview & Commissioning of SAS systems would be an added advantage.
  • Design Expertise: Proficient in designing and programming electrical control systems, including SCADA/HMI, cybersecurity, network equipment, IEC61850, Firewalls, and more.
  • GE Substation Automation Solutions: Preferred candidates will have proven knowledge in this area.
  • Travel: Ability to travel globally with short periods.
