Job Description
We are seeking a mid‑level AI Engineer with strong Digital Engineering expertise to design, automate, and modernize engineering workflows across enterprise engineering teams. The ideal candidate brings hands‑on experience integrating AI/GenAI with Bentley, AutoCAD, Retiv API, and C#‑based engineering systems, along with solid grounding in Azure AI services.
This role works closely with Business Engineering Teams, Central IT, and Cloud Architects to build AI‑powered automations, enhance engineering toolchains, and deliver production-grade solutions for global users.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and deploy AI/GenAI solutions that automate engineering workflows, design checks, and data processing pipelines.
- Develop integrations, extensions, and plug‑ins for Bentley, AutoCAD, and related engineering toolsets using C# and modern SDKs.
- Implement engineering workflow automation using Retiv API and custom connectors.
- Collaborate with engineering SMEs to capture requirements and translate them into scalable AI-enabled solutions.
- Build agentic workflows (retrieval, orchestration, structured reasoning) for engineering design support.
- Develop and maintain microservices, APIs, and automation components hosted on Azure App Services, Azure Functions, Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
- Leverage Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Document Intelligence, Azure ML for model integration and intelligent extraction.
- Optimize system performance, ensure solution reliability, and apply engineering rigor for production rollout.
- Participate in code reviews, architecture discussions, and CI/CD processes in collaboration with cloud engineering teams.
- Stay updated with advancements in Digital Engineering, GenAI, engineering automation, and cloud-native AI practices.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
- 3–5 years of experience in Digital Engineering or AI Engineering roles.
- Strong programming skills in C#, .NET, and experience developing engineering tool extensions.
- Hands-on experience with Bentley, AutoCAD, or similar design systems (integrations, APIs, automations).
- Experience working with Retiv API or engineering workflow APIs.
- Solid understanding of LLMs, embeddings, retrieval-based AI systems, and prompt engineering.
- Proficiency with Azure AI ecosystem: Azure OpenAI, Azure AI Search, Azure Cognitive Services, Azure Functions, Azure Storage, Azure DevOps.
- Good understanding of NLP techniques and document/geometry extraction workflows.
- Ability to work with business engineering teams and translate functional requirements into technical deliverables.
- Strong debugging, optimization, and problem‑solving skills.
Preferred Skills
- Exposure to Claude or Gemini models.
- Experience with agentic AI frameworks or AI orchestration patterns.
- Knowledge of microservices architecture, containerization (Docker), or AKS.
- Familiarity with engineering data standards and formats (DWG, DGN, IFC, PDFs).
- Experience working in global engineering or GCC environments.
