About The Role

We are looking for a passionate and detail-oriented DRS Operator to join our Live Broadcast Operations team. This role plays a critical part in delivering seamless live sports broadcasts by ensuring the accuracy of real-time match data, supporting broadcast production workflows, managing video review operations, and maintaining the integrity of broadcast systems during live events.

The ideal candidate should possess strong technical aptitude, excellent observational skills, and a sound understanding of cricket. They should be comfortable working in fast-paced, high-pressure live production environments where accuracy and timely decision-making are essential.

Key Responsibilities

Support end-to-end live sports production by ensuring smooth execution of operational workflows during broadcasts.Perform pre-event operational checks to ensure all assigned systems are functioning correctly before live transmission.Monitor multiple broadcast systems simultaneously and ensure uninterrupted live operations.Collaborate with production, engineering, graphics, and technical teams to deliver seamless live coverage.Maintain operational logs and prepare post-event reports highlighting observations and improvement opportunities.

Match Data & Live Event Management

Capture, validate, and maintain accurate real-time match data throughout live sporting events.Ensure all live event information is recorded with precision and consistency.Monitor match progress continuously to identify significant events requiring operational support.Verify data accuracy before it is transmitted for on-air usage.

Video Review & Replay Operations

Manage live video replay sequences during critical match situations.Support the review process by ensuring accurate playback of relevant video footage.Operate multiple camera feeds to facilitate quick and accurate decision-making during live events.Maintain synchronization between replay operations and live broadcast timelines. Ensure all replay outputs meet broadcast quality standards.

Graphics & Match Storytelling

Support the delivery of real-time graphics during live matches.Interpret live match statistics and transform them into engaging on-air visual content.Identify important match moments and ensure timely execution of relevant graphics.Work closely with editorial and production teams to enhance the storytelling experience for viewers.

Broadcast System Monitoring

Continuously monitor the health and performance of broadcast systems during live events.Identify operational or technical issues promptly and take immediate corrective actions wherever possible.Escalate critical issues to the relevant teams without delay.Ensure synchronization between broadcast equipment, video outputs, and production workflows.

Required Skills & Competencies

Excellent understanding of cricket, its laws, playing conditions, and match situations.Strong analytical and observational skills.Exceptional attention to detail and ability to maintain accuracy under pressure.Ability to multitask and monitor multiple live systems simultaneously.Strong decision-making and problem-solving abilities.Excellent verbal and written communication skills.Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.High level of ownership, accountability, and professionalism.Flexibility to work in rotational shifts, weekends, holidays, and during international sporting events.

Technical Skills

Understanding of live television broadcast workflows.Knowledge of video replay systems and live production environments.Familiarity with broadcast graphics systems.Basic understanding of video servers, signal flow, and broadcast infrastructure.Comfortable working with computer-based broadcast applications and operational software.Basic troubleshooting skills for live production systems.

Educational Qualification

Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Broadcast Technology, Electronics, Information Technology, Computer Science, Media Technology, Sports Technology, or a related discipline.

Experience

1–3 years of experience in live sports broadcasting, broadcast operations, production support, media technology, sports analytics, video operations, or related domains.Experience working on live cricket productions or major sporting events will be an added advantage.Familiarity with sports broadcast technology, production workflows, or live event operations is preferred.
