Job Details

The Role

The Data Platform Developer is responsible for the design, development, and maintenance of large-scale data systems, including data architecture, data pipelines, and data applications. This position will focus on the development of data-driven solutions, ensuring data quality, scalability, and performance. The ideal candidate will have a background in data engineering, data architecture, orchestration and cloud-based technologies, with expertise in any programming language.

The Work -

• Design, develop, and maintain complex SQL queries, views, functions, and stored procedures
• Build and optimize data transformation, validation, and processing logic
• Develop and support ETL / ELT pipelines for batch and incremental workloads
• Perform SQL performance tuning for large datasets and complex joins
• Support data integration workflows across multiple internal and external systems
• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve data quality and performance issues
• Execute production support activities, including reprocessing, backfills, and recovery
• Maintain clear documentation for SQL logic, data pipelines, and dependencies
• Collaborate with Analytics, Engineering, and Product teams to clarify requirements
• Follow and enforce corporate security, privacy, and compliance standards
  
  

The Must-Haves -

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience)
• Strong hands-on experience with advanced SQL development and optimization
• Proven experience working with relational databases and large-scale datasets
• Hands-on experience building, maintaining, or supporting ETL / ELT pipelines
• Ability to implement complex data transformations and validation logic using SQL
• Experience with data processing, automation, or scripting using any programming language (Python, Java, C#, etc.)
• Working experience with workflow orchestration platforms such as Airflow, Dagster, or similar tools
• Solid understanding of SQL performance tuning, indexing, and optimization techniques
• Experience working with distributed or columnar databases is a strong plus
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams
  
  

Nice to Have

• Experience with OLTP systems and transactional database design
• Hands-on experience with dbt for SQL-based transformations, modeling, and testing
• Experience working with REST APIs and data integrations
• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools such as Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with modern data platforms such as Apache Doris and/or Snowflake
• Experience working with cloud-based data platforms and services
• Exposure to data modeling, metadata management, and documentation best practices
