Associate Engineer

Responsible for the day-to-day operations, monitoring, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of data center infrastructure. The engineer will ensure high availability, reliability, security, and smooth functioning of servers, network devices, storage, backup systems, and other critical IT infrastructure

Responsibilities

• Monitor data center infrastructure, servers, network devices, storage, and critical systems.
• Perform installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of servers and IT equipment.
• Handle Windows/Linux server administration and basic troubleshooting.
• Monitor CPU, memory, disk utilization, system health, and capacity.
• Perform server patching, firmware upgrades, and preventive maintenance.
• Manage backup and restore activities and troubleshoot backup failures.
• Coordinate with network, security, storage, application, and OEM teams for incident resolution.
• Handle hardware replacement, device installation, rack/stack, cabling, and asset management.
• Monitor alerts through DCIM/NMS/monitoring tools and ensure timely incident resolution.
• Follow ITIL processes for Incident, Problem, Change, and Request Management.
• Maintain SOPs, operational checklists, shift handover reports, and infrastructure documentation.
• Support audits and ensure compliance with security and data center policies.
• Participate in planned maintenance, DR activities, and emergency troubleshooting.
• Provide 24×7 support through rotational shifts, if required
