About The Business Unit
Global Delivery Services Centre (GDSC) is a high-impact business unit within Mott MacDonald, dedicated to enhancing project delivery across our global operations.

About The Role
We are seeking an enthusiastic early career professional to support our Project Managers and leadership teams in delivering well governed, high-quality projects. This role combines project commercial support, administration, reporting, and office coordination, making it an excellent opportunity for graduates and professionals at early career stage to develop a strong foundation in project delivery within a global engineering consulting organisation.

You’ll collaborate closely with Mott MacDonald’s international offices - Project Managers, Commercial teams, and other business support functions, gaining hands on exposure to project finance, systems, reporting, governance, and continuous improvement—all while building skills that support long term career growth.

Key Responsibilities:
Project & Commercial Support

• Support Project Managers with project setup, including budget creation, resource profiling, task setup, and system coordination
• Assist with monitoring project costs and hours against budgets and support earned value analysis
• Support preparation and processing of agreements, change control notes, invoices, and related commercial documentation
• Follow up with internal stakeholders to support timely approvals and smooth commercial workflows
• Assist in preparing weekly and monthly project progress and cost reports
  
  

Project Administration & Governance

• Support senior team members in implementing internal project business management and quality procedures
• Assist with project documentation, record keeping, and adherence to standard templates and systems
• Support project communications, document control, transmittals, and internal coordination
• Assist with contractual and subcontractor processes alongside commercial and accounting teams
• Participate in mock audits and support compliance with internal and external audit requirements
  
  

Reporting & Process Improvement

• Work with project teams to understand and maintain existing dashboards and support creation of new dashboards (e.g., Power BI)
• Prepare and maintain structured project data and performance reports
• Proactively contribute to process improvements, automation initiatives, and adoption of digital delivery practices In addition, the role holder will also be expected to support general office, and project needs to ensure smooth day to day operations, including:
• Assisting with onboarding, transfers, and exit processes for project team members
• Supporting IT coordination and interfacing for project and office needs
• Ordering and tracking office and project related supplies
• Drafting, formatting, and editing draft and final reports, presentations, and documents
• Coordinating meetings, workshops and project events
• Providing general administrative support to Project Managers and project teams as required
  
  

Candidate Specification (What We’re Looking For)

• Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline
• Up to 3 years of experience in project administration, commercial support, coordination, or a similar role
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)
• A proactive, organised, and collaborative approach with strong attention to detail
• Familiarity with CRM systems, SharePoint, or project management tools
• Interest to grow career in project delivery, business operations, and digital tool management
  
  

Desirable to have

• Exposure to engineering, design consulting, professional services or other related industries.
• Basic understanding of project finance, budgeting, or cost control
• Introductory experience in data analysis, reporting, or Power BI
