The Role

Sauce Labs is looking for a highly skilled and passionate Senior Full Stack Engineer to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable software solutions. Your expertise in both frontend and backend systems, with a strong focus on TypeScript and Node.js, will be essential in building and optimizing our core products and features. You will be a key contributor to architectural decisions, ensuring high code quality and fostering a culture of technical excellence.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high-quality, production-ready software solutions for both frontend and backend systems using TypeScript, Node.js, and React.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product managers, designers, and business stakeholders, to clarify requirements and translate business needs into elegant technical solutions.
• Ensure consistent code quality and functionality through automated testing, code reviews, and by advocating for software development best practices.
• Contribute to system design and architecture, identifying and addressing technical debt proactively to ensure long-term robustness and performance.
• Troubleshoot, debug, and upgrade existing software across the entire stack.
• Work with 3rd party APIs and systems, leading the technical implementation of new integrations.
• Participate in DevOps practices, including maintaining and improving CI/CD pipelines
  
  

Required Skills

• 5+ years of proven experience in full stack development with a strong emphasis on Node.js and TypeScript.
• Proficiency in frontend development using React and building responsive user interfaces.
• Experience with asynchronous programming, concurrency control, and promise-based flow in Node.js.
• Solid experience with server-side frameworks and designing RESTful APIs.
• Strong understanding of database management and storage solutions (SQL and NoSQL).
• Experience with a comprehensive testing approach, including unit, end-to-end, and contract testing.
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, DevOps principles, and cloud platforms (e.g., Docker, Jenkins, GCP).
• Excellent problem-solving, debugging, and communication skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  
  

Nice To Haves

• Experience with GraphQL APIs.
• Familiarity with Python or other programming languages.
• Experience with specific technologies like Fastify, NextJS, Serverless, or Elastic Search/OpenSearch.
