The Senior Quality Engineer – AVP plays a pivotal role in the assurance of product quality, and in the advancement of best practices in testing and quality control. As a vital member of the engineering team, you will be responsible for leading quality assurance (QA) processes and projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure rigorous testing and adherence to quality standards throughout the software development lifecycle. This position requires not only technical proficiency in quality engineering practices but also leadership skills to mentor junior team members, manage stakeholder expectations, and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong analytical skills, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality solutions that meet or exceed client expectations. Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of comprehensive test strategies and plans.
  • Collaborate with product management teams to understand user needs and product requirements.
  • Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and scripts.
  • Identify, record, and track bugs until resolution, ensuring high standards are met.
  • Conduct in-depth analysis of test results to ensure quality assurance goals are achieved.
  • Mentor and guide junior quality engineers in best testing practices and methodologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and technologies in software testing and quality assurance.
  • Participate in code reviews to provide insights focused on quality enhancement.
  • Ensure suitable resource allocation for various quality assurance projects and initiatives.
  • Work closely with development teams to incorporate testing into the software development lifecycle.
  • Provide regular reports and feedback to management on quality metrics and KPIs.
  • Drive continuous process improvement initiatives to enhance software quality.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in software quality engineering or related roles.
  • Proficient in at least one programming language such as Java, Python, or C#.
  • Strong knowledge of automated testing tools and frameworks, such as Selenium or JUnit.
  • Demonstrated experience in leading or managing quality assurance projects or teams.
  • Excellent problem-solving capabilities with strong analytical and testing skills.
  • Effective communication skills to collaborate across departments and with stakeholders.
  • Experience with agile methodologies and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced, dynamic work environment while managing multiple priorities.
