Job Description

We are searching for a highly motivated and experienced Restaurant Captain to lead our dynamic food service team. This role demands a dedicated individual who is passionate about delivering exceptional hospitality and creating unforgettable dining experiences for our guests. As a Restaurant Captain, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of the dining area, providing leadership and direction to staff, and upholding the standards of service excellence. You'll work closely with the kitchen and service teams to ensure that every dish is served with precision and every guest leaves with a smile. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of restaurant operations, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to resolve issues swiftly and efficiently.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee the daily operations of the restaurant to ensure seamless service.
  • Coordinate with the kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order fulfillment.
  • Lead and motivate restaurant staff to provide excellent customer service consistently.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies.
  • Address customer inquiries and resolve complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Train new employees on service standards and operational procedures effectively.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed to prevent shortages.
  • Prepare shift schedules to ensure restaurant is adequately staffed at all times.
  • Assist in developing and implementing strategies to enhance customer satisfaction.
  • Facilitate communication between kitchen and dining room staff for better service.
  • Conduct regular staff meetings to communicate objectives and feedback clearly.
  • Maintain accurate financial and administrative records for reporting purposes.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Restaurant Captain or in a similar leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations and best practices in the industry.
  • Exceptional leadership and interpersonal skills to manage a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities to address challenges efficiently and effectively.
  • Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written, for clear interaction.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • A relevant degree or diploma in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
