• Calibrate and maintain phlebotomy equipment, ensuring proper functionality before use.
• Adhere to confidentiality and data protection guidelines to secure patient information.
• Collaborate with healthcare staff to optimize patient flow and specimen processing timelines.
• Manage supplies inventory in order to avoid shortages and ensure equipment readiness.
• Monitor patient reactions during and after blood collection, providing immediate care if needed.
• Engage in continuous education and training opportunities to enhance phlebotomy skills.

Requirements

• Certification in phlebotomy from an accredited program is required for this position.
• Previous experience in a clinical setting as a phlebotomist is preferred.
• Strong knowledge of vein selection and blood collection techniques is essential.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities with diverse patient populations.
• Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
