Job Description

A Pharmacy Store Supervisor is responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of a pharmacy retail environment. This role involves overseeing the store’s daily activities, managing staff, optimizing customer service, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations. The Pharmacy Store Supervisor plays a crucial role in maintaining inventory levels, coordinating with suppliers, and implementing effective sales strategies to meet financial targets. Additionally, they are responsible for training and mentoring pharmacy staff, promoting a positive work environment, and ensuring the adherence to company policies and procedures. Strong leadership and excellent organizational skills are essential for success in this role, as well as a deep understanding of pharmaceutical products and services.


Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily operations of the pharmacy store to ensure efficient workflow.
  • Manage and mentor pharmacy staff to enhance performance and service quality.
  • Ensure compliance with state and federal pharmacy regulations and standards.
  • Maintain optimal inventory levels and manage procurement with suppliers.
  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve store financial goals.
  • Provide exceptional customer service and resolve customer inquiries effectively.
  • Supervise the dispensing of medications and ensure accuracy and safety.
  • Conduct regular audits and checks to maintain store accountability and security.
  • Train new employees and conduct regular training updates for existing staff.
  • Prepare and analyze store reports to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Coordinate marketing and promotional activities to enhance store visibility.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and organization of the pharmacy premises at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
  • Proven experience as a Pharmacy Supervisor or in a similar managerial role.
  • In-depth knowledge of pharmaceuticals and pharmacy operations standards.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and inspire a team.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to interact with staff and customers.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills to manage multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in pharmacy software systems and inventory management tools.
