Job Description

As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in the healthcare system by ensuring that patients receive the appropriate medications they need. Responsibilities

  • Dispense medications accurately while ensuring compliance with applicable pharmacy laws.
  • Counsel patients on the proper use and potential side effects of their medications.
  • Maintain professional communication with prescribers and healthcare teams for optimal patient care.
  • Monitor patient profiles and medication regimens for potential interactions or contraindications.
  • Provide immunization services following state regulations and company policies.
  • Manage inventory levels to maintain optimal stock and reduce medication expiration risks.
  • Prepare accurate reports and maintain comprehensive pharmacy records as required.
  • Ensure a clean and safe working environment in compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Participate in community outreach initiatives to promote general health and wellness education.
  • Oversee pharmacy technicians and support staff, providing guidance and training as needed.
  • Stay up-to-date with new drug therapies and advancements in pharmaceutical research.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited pharmacy program.
  • Valid state pharmacy license and registration to practice as a pharmacist.
  • Strong understanding of pharmacology, drug interactions, and therapeutic uses.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills to counsel patients effectively.
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and patient safety at all times.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary healthcare team.
  • Proficient in the use of pharmacy information systems and computer applications.
