Job Description

As a Pharmacist, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and wellness of patients through the accurate dispensation of medication and provision of pharmaceutical care. This involves understanding and interpreting prescriptions, communicating with patients and healthcare providers, and ensuring the safe and effective use of medications. Responsibilities

  • Maintain comprehensive and up-to-date knowledge of medications and their effects.
  • Manage pharmacy inventory, ensuring optimal stock levels and expiration monitoring.
  • Ensure all pharmacy operations comply with federal and state regulations.
  • Provide training and supervision to pharmacy staff including interns and technicians.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of pharmacy policies and procedures.
  • Coordinate with healthcare team members to develop patient drug treatment plans.
  • Perform medication therapy management to enhance patient treatment outcomes.
  • Document patient interactions and medication records accurately and securely.
  • Participate in continuous professional development and stay informed about industry changes.

Requirements

  • A Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree from an accredited institution.
  • State licensure to practice pharmacy and dispense medications legally.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology, drug interactions, and potential side effects.
  • Excellent communication skills for effective patient and physician interaction.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to high standards of accuracy and ethics.
  • Proven experience with pharmacy management software and related technologies.
  • Ability to remain calm and efficient in fast-paced and high-pressure environments.
