Responsibilities

  • Accurately dispense prescribed pharmaceuticals to patients and healthcare providers.
  • Provide comprehensive advice and counseling on the appropriate use of medications.
  • Conduct thorough reviews of patients’ medication regimens for potential drug interactions.
  • Monitor inventory levels and manage the timely ordering of pharmaceuticals.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable pharmacy laws and regulatory guidelines.
  • Facilitate patient education by clarifying drug therapies and answering inquiries.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient medication outcomes.
  • Supervise and train pharmacy technicians and support staff effectively.
  • Maintain accurate pharmacy records and documentation in line with standards.
  • Participate in continuous education and professional development opportunities.
  • Implement quality improvement activities to enhance pharmacy workflows.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients and healthcare partners.

Requirements

  • Doctor of Pharmacy (Pharm.D.) degree or a Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy.
  • Valid state pharmacist license and registration in good standing.
  • Strong knowledge of pharmacology and drug interaction principles.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential.
  • At least two years of experience working as a licensed pharmacist.
  • Proficiency with pharmacy information systems and technology required.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
