Job Description

The MIS (Management Information Systems) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of information systems that support the organization’s operational and strategic initiatives. This role involves the development and coordination of IT-related projects, ensuring the technology infrastructure aligns with the business goals, and providing support and training to staff members. The coordinator plays a critical role in streamlining processes and improving efficiency by leveraging appropriate technologies. They work closely with other departments to identify their technology needs and propose suitable solutions. The MIS Coordinator is also responsible for maintaining the integrity and security of the organization’s data, as well as troubleshooting and resolving any IT-related issues that arise.


Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage information systems to support organizational operations efficiently.
  • Coordinate IT projects from conception to implementation, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Collaborate with staff across departments to identify and fulfill technology needs.
  • Train and support team members in utilizing new and existing information systems.
  • Ensure the security and integrity of the organization’s data and information.
  • Monitor system performance and troubleshoot IT issues in a timely manner.
  • Provide strategic advice on technology improvements and system enhancements.
  • Maintain and upgrade IT infrastructure to align with organizational goals.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation of IT policies and procedures.
  • Manage relationships with external vendors and service providers.
  • Analyze current processes and make recommendations for improvement.
  • Stay updated with the latest technologies and trends in information systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in MIS or IT coordination roles.
  • Proven experience in managing IT projects and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
  • Strong understanding of information systems, database management, and security protocols.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to train and support staff members.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks efficiently.
