The team
The role involves supporting new IT infrastructure initiatives through effective cross-functional collaboration for requirement gathering and follow-ups. Candidate should have strong knowledge of IT services, including cloud technologies such as compute and storage, along with experience in process redesign and documentation. Experience in tracking and managing IT purchasing requests, budgets, expenditures and ensuring cost-effectiveness across operations.
The role
- Support new IT Infrastructure initiatives and collaborate across functions for requirement gathering and follow-ups.
- Manage requirements, coordinate between functions, implement policies, and optimize related processes.
- Develop and manage IT purchasing budgets, track expenditures, and ensure overall cost-effectiveness.
- Manage and track IT contracts, coordinating with the Purchase team as the IT point of contact to ensure timely renewals and optimization opportunities.
- Work closely with internal IT leads and stakeholders to understand IT needs before submitting requests in the system.
- Analyse data to identify purchasing trends, find improvement areas, and prepare management reports.
- Track budgets while ensuring adherence to company policies and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of IT service, infrastructure and participate in the process redesign and documentation
- Understand IT infrastructure/datacentre technologies, such as server hardware and operating systems, storage, networking equipment such as switches, routers, firewalls and wireless access points.
- Coordinate with technology vendors, ensuring services align with organizational needs, and maintain effective relationships.
- Implement and manage continuous improvement initiatives to enhance IT Infrastructure services efficiency and effectiveness.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills for effective interaction with internal teams, stakeholders, and vendors.
What You’ll Bring
- Candidate should have 6+ years of experience as IT Operations manager.
- Strong conceptual knowledge of IT services, including cloud technologies such as compute and storage, along with experience in process redesign and documentation.
- Familiarity with hardware vendors and their products, including Microsoft, Dell, HP, Cisco, and Apple.
- Excellent people skills to interact with staff, colleagues, cross-functional teams, partners, and customers
- Familiar with contract/agreement review and accurate interpretation.
- Strong interpersonal, collaboration, communication, and relationship skills for delivering a positive customer experience.
- Experience in multicultural environment
