Job Description

As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the activities of the housekeeping department within our establishment. You are expected to ensure that all housekeeping operations are running efficiently and effectively, and that high standards of cleanliness and customer satisfaction are consistently achieved. Your role will involve supervising staff, managing supplies and inventory, as well as coordinating with other departments to ensure seamless service delivery. You will be a key figure in maintaining a pleasant and sanitary environment for guests and staff, boosting the overall guest experience. The role requires strong leadership skills, attention to detail, and the ability to multitask and handle situations with a calm demeanor.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate daily housekeeping operations and activities within the facility.
  • Ensure high standards of cleanliness and sanitation are maintained at all times.
  • Train, guide, and mentor housekeeping staff to enhance their performance and efficiency.
  • Inspect rooms and public areas to ensure quality service standards are met.
  • Handle customer complaints and issues related to housekeeping promptly and effectively.
  • Manage housekeeping supply inventories, including ordering and restocking as needed.
  • Coordinate housekeeping efforts with other departments to optimize guest satisfaction.
  • Develop and implement housekeeping procedures and standards to improve efficiency.
  • Schedule and allocate responsibilities to housekeeping staff based on demand and workload.
  • Monitor cleaning staff productivity, providing constructive feedback and suggestions for improvement.
  • Ensure compliance with safety and sanitation policies to maintain a safe workplace.
  • Prepare reports and documentation related to housekeeping operations and staff performance.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within a housekeeping department or similar environment.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills to manage a diverse team effectively.
  • Excellent organizational abilities with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and balance multiple responsibilities concurrently.
  • Knowledge of housekeeping products, equipment, techniques, and best practices.
  • Familiarity with health and safety standards relevant to housekeeping operations.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; further education in hospitality management is a plus.
