Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and personable Guest Service Associate to join our Front Office team. As a Guest Service Associate, you will play a pivotal role in providing top-notch customer service and ensuring the satisfaction of our guests. You will be the first point of contact for guests, responsible for creating a welcoming environment and handling a variety of guest-related inquiries and requests. The ideal candidate should possess excellent communication skills, a positive attitude, and a strong passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences. Responsibilities

  • Welcome guests as they arrive at the front desk and respond efficiently to inquiries.
  • Assist guests with check-in and check-out processes, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
  • Provide guests with information about hotel amenities, services, and local attractions.
  • Handle guest complaints, concerns, or special requests with professionalism and urgency.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance to fulfill guest requests and resolve issues.
  • Maintain cashier floats and adhere to cash handling and credit policies and procedures.
  • Keep accurate records of guest transactions, including reservation details and payment methods.
  • Operate the phone switchboard in a polite and efficient manner to address guest queries.
  • Ensure the front desk is tidy and has all the necessary stationery for smooth operations.
  • Assist in booking and arranging transportation services for guests, if requested.
  • Participate in training programs and meetings to maintain a high standard of service delivery.
  • Uphold the hotel’s policies and procedures and strive for continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required; hospitality degree preferred.
  • Proven experience as a front office representative or guest service role.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with strong interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a busy environment.
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite and familiar with hotel management software systems.
  • Flexibility to work shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  • A positive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a genuine passion for guest service.
