Job Description

As a Guest Service Agent, you will be at the forefront of providing an exceptional experience for every guest. You will be responsible for welcoming visitors, managing reservations, and ensuring all interactions reflect the highest standards of hospitality. Your role involves addressing inquiries, resolving issues promptly, and facilitating smooth check-ins and check-outs. Strong communication skills and attention to detail are crucial, as you will frequently liaise with both guests and various hotel departments. The Guest Service Agent plays a critical role in making sure that every guest feels valued and has a memorable stay, contributing significantly to the hotel's reputation and repeat business.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and assist with their check-in and check-out process.
  • Manage reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently and accurately.
  • Respond promptly to guest inquiries, emails, and phone calls with professionalism.
  • Handle guest complaints with empathy, resolving them to the guests' satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with housekeeping and maintenance to ensure room readiness and upkeep.
  • Process payments and handle financial transactions securely and accurately.
  • Provide information about local attractions, hotel amenities, and services available.
  • Maintain accurate records of bookings, room assignments, and customer preferences.
  • Ensure compliance with hotel policies, procedures, and safety standards.
  • Assist in preparing and organizing guest amenities and special requests.
  • Facilitate smooth communication between guests and other departments of the hotel.
  • Uphold a high level of customer service and professional presentation at all times.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; hospitality-related qualification preferred.
  • Proven experience in guest service or hospitality roles is essential.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in hotel management software and basic computer applications.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Outstanding interpersonal skills for effective guest interaction and teamwork.
