Job Description

A Guest Service Agent plays an essential role in welcoming and assisting guests at hospitality establishments. They serve as the initial point of contact and help ensure a memorable and positive experience. As a Guest Service Agent, you will be responsible for managing guest reservations, providing information about the hotel, and addressing any inquiries or issues that guests may have. The role calls for excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a customer-oriented attitude. Strong organizational skills, along with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment, are crucial. You will collaborate closely with other hotel departments to enhance guest satisfaction and maintain hotel service standards.


Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly upon arrival and provide a friendly atmosphere.
  • Efficiently manage guest check-ins and check-outs with accuracy.
  • Handle guest reservations, cancellations, and modifications efficiently.
  • Provide information about hotel amenities, local attractions, and services.
  • Resolve guest complaints and issues promptly while ensuring satisfaction.
  • Collaborate with other hotel departments to coordinate guest services.
  • Maintain accurate records of guest transactions and room assignments.
  • Respond to guest inquiries both in person and over the phone.
  • Assist with luggage management and offering concierge services when needed.
  • Ensure lobby area is clean, welcoming, and informational literature is available.
  • Schedule wake-up calls and other personalized guest assistance requests.
  • Uphold the hotel's security and privacy policies to ensure guest safety.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent qualification is required.
  • Previous experience in hospitality or customer service is preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
  • Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail are crucial.
  • Proficiency in operating hotel management software and booking systems.
  • Friendly, approachable demeanor with a strong customer service focus.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexible availability, including weekends, holidays, and evenings.
