We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Geography Teacher to join our academic team and inspire a passion for the subject in students. This role involves teaching geography to students ranging from introductory to advanced levels. The ideal candidate will have a thorough understanding of physical and human geography, and the ability to present information in an engaging and accessible manner. Your main objective will be to foster in students a deep understanding and appreciation of the earth’s landscapes, environments, and the processes that create them. You will be responsible for preparing lesson plans, delivering engaging lectures, and assessing student progress through assignments and examinations. As a Geography Teacher, you will also promote good communication, curiosity, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills among students, preparing them for further education or career choices in related fields.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans to cover the prescribed curriculum.
• Deliver engaging and interactive lessons that cater to different learning styles.
• Assess and evaluate student performance through exams, quizzes, and assignments.
• Encourage critical thinking, debating, and analytical skills among students.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Geography or a related field required for consideration.
• Teaching certification or license in geography or social studies necessary.
• Minimum of 2 years teaching experience in an academic setting preferred.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to engage with students effectively.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
• Passion for geography and staying updated on educational trends and practices.
• Proficiency with educational technology and classroom management software highly valued.
