Job Description

The role of an Estimator for Renovation & Fit-out Projects is critical for the successful execution of construction projects. As an estimator, you will play a pivotal role in calculating the cost estimates for projects, analyzing job sites, and evaluating project blueprints and specifications. You will work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to ensure that all necessary project information is gathered and that all cost factors are accurately accounted for. You will be tasked with providing detailed cost analysis, developing budgets, negotiating with suppliers and subcontractors, and identifying potential cost-saving opportunities. As an Estimator, your goal is to ensure projects are completed within budget while maintaining high quality and efficiency.


Responsibilities

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for renovation and fit-out projects.
  • Analyze project blueprints and specifications to determine material needs.
  • Coordinate with architects and engineers to gather project requirements.
  • Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and challenges.
  • Identify and assess potential risks associated with project execution.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor quotations with attention to detail.
  • Develop budgets that align with project financial goals and constraints.
  • Negotiate pricing agreements with suppliers to ensure cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with project managers to establish timelines and milestones.
  • Track project costs continually to ensure alignment with estimated budgets.
  • Prepare financial reports and present estimates to stakeholders effectively.
  • Update cost estimates and budgets based on project changes and scope.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in construction estimating roles.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail for accurate cost analysis.
  • Proficient in construction estimating software and project management tools.
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with stakeholders.
  • Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive pricing from suppliers.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines efficiently.
