We are looking for a highly trustworthy, experienced, and dedicated Computer Network Security Engineer to take ownership of our IT security infrastructure and safeguard our digital assets.

Role Overview

We are seeking an autonomous and high-integrity Computer Network Security Engineer based locally in Delhi. You will be the bedrock of our IT security, trusted to design, manage, and continuously evolve our network defenses. In this role, you will not just be executing tasks, but taking full ownership of our security posture, ensuring that our systems, data, and networks are resilient against evolving cyber threats.

Key Responsibilities

• Architecture & Implementation: Design, implement, and maintain highly secure network architectures. Manage and configure firewalls, VPNs, and Intrusion Detection/Prevention Systems (IDS/IPS).
• Threat Monitoring & Incident Response: Continuously monitor networks for vulnerabilities, active threats, and potential breaches. Lead incident response efforts, conducting thorough root cause analysis and rapid remediation.
• Audits & Compliance: Conduct regular security audits, vulnerability assessments, and penetration testing. Ensure KnowDis remains compliant with industry standards, data protection laws, and security best practices.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner closely with internal IT, engineering, and data science teams to harden systems, enforce strict access controls (Zero Trust), and continuously elevate the company's overall security posture.
• Security Leadership: Act as the primary custodian of IT security. Educate staff on security best practices, mitigate insider threats, and foster a security-first culture across the organization.

Required Qualifications & Experience

1. Location: Must be based in Delhi (or willing to relocate immediately) and able to work on-site in a Hybrid Model.
2. Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science/Information Technology, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or a related field.
3. Experience: 4+ years of proven experience as a Network Security Engineer, Information Security Analyst, or similar role managing complex IT infrastructure.
4. Technical Proficiency:

• Hands-on experience with Next-Gen Firewalls (e.g., Palo Alto, Fortinet, Cisco ASA).
• Deep understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, routing, switching) and VPN architectures (IPsec, SSL).
• Experience with SIEM tools, Endpoint Detection and Response (EDR), and network monitoring solutions.

Preferred Certifications (Any of the following is a strong plus)

• CISSP (Certified Information Systems Security Professional)
• CISM (Certified Information Security Manager)
• CEH (Certified Ethical Hacker)
• CompTIA Security+ / Network+
• Vendor-specific certifications (e.g., Cisco CCNP Security, Palo Alto PCNSA/PCNSE)
