Job Description

The Collection Manager for Two Wheeler Finance is responsible for overseeing the collection processes for loan accounts related to two-wheeler financing. This role is pivotal in ensuring that loan collections are conducted efficiently, timely, and in compliance with regulatory standards. The Collection Manager develops strategies to improve collection rates, manages a team of collection agents, and collaborates with other departments to address any issues related to delinquent accounts. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the financial industry, particularly in vehicle financing, and possess strong analytical and leadership skills. Your ability to negotiate effectively, resolve disputes amicably, and build rapport with clients will be integral to your success in this role.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of collection agents to achieve collection targets.
  • Develop strategies and plans for efficient collection of two-wheeler loan payments.
  • Analyze collection data and generate reports for senior management review.
  • Interact and negotiate with clients to resolve payment disputes and delinquencies.
  • Monitor the performance of agents and provide coaching to improve their efficiency.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations pertaining to loan recovery.
  • Collaborate with the legal team to handle accounts requiring legal action.
  • Develop and implement initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and retention.
  • Regularly update the collections database with accurate and current information.
  • Identify potential risks in the collection process and propose mitigation strategies.
  • Conduct regular training sessions to enhance the skills of your collections team.
  • Coordinate with the finance department to ensure accurate accounting of collections.

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or related field is required.
  • Proven experience in collection management within the financial services industry.
  • Strong understanding of two-wheeler finance operations and loan recovery procedures.
  • Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Excellent analytical skills for data-driven decision-making and strategy formulation.
  • Outstanding negotiation skills to handle diverse and challenging client scenarios.
  • Proficient in using collection software and other relevant financial management tools.
  • Exceptional oral and written communication skills for effective stakeholder engagement.
