Job Description

The role of Collection Manager in the Two Wheeler Finance sector is a critical position responsible for managing the collections process for financed two-wheelers. This involves ensuring timely collection of payments, maintaining customer relationships, and minimizing default rates. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in finance, exceptional negotiation skills, and a thorough understanding of loan products, specifically in the automotive or two-wheeler sectors. The Collection Manager will also work closely with the sales and processing teams to streamline processes and support financial health. Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire collections process for two-wheeler finance accounts, ensuring efficiency.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with customers for effective payment collection.
  • Monitor and manage collection staff to meet or exceed collection targets monthly.
  • Analyze collection data regularly to forecast payment trends and identify issues.
  • Develop and implement collection strategies to reduce delinquency rates effectively.
  • Coordinate with legal teams to handle accounts that require escalation for legal action.
  • Ensure all collection practices comply with relevant financial regulations and standards.
  • Prepare detailed reports for senior management on collection trends and performance metrics.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to understand client profiles and payment issues thoroughly.
  • Organize training sessions for collection staff to enhance negotiation and collection skills.
  • Identify improvements in the collections process through technology and process re-engineering.
  • Resolve any customer disputes and complaints to maintain a positive client experience.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in a collection management position is necessary.
  • Demonstrated expertise in two-wheeler or automotive finance and loan processes preferred.
  • Strong analytical skills to interpret financial data and create actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills are essential for this role.
  • Proficiency in using collection management software and related computer applications.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet strict deadlines.
