As a Civil Draftsman, you will be an integral part of the engineering and construction team, providing advanced drafting and design support to produce detailed drawings and plans for various civil engineering projects. You will interpret technical specifications and collaborate with engineers and other professionals to ensure designs adhere to project guidelines and standards. Your work will involve using specialized drafting software to create layouts, sketches, and diagrams essential for the development and modification of engineering designs. This role requires precision, an eye for detail, and a strong understanding of civil engineering principles. You will be instrumental in transforming conceptual designs into practical, executable plans, thereby aiding in the successful completion of projects.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed civil engineering drawings according to project specifications and needs.
• Work closely with engineers to interpret and clarify technical drawings and designs.
• Create and revise engineering plans using CAD software and other design tools.
• Ensure all drawings and plans comply with applicable codes and standards.
• Review sketches and drawings, making corrections to improve clarity and accuracy.
• Collaborate with surveyors and other project members to verify criteria and measurements.
• Prepare package layouts and plans for roadways, bridges, and other infrastructure projects.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all drawings and related materials.
• Assist in the preparation of project proposals and reports as needed.
• Perform field visits to gather data and verify design specifications on site.
• Provide technical support and consultation to project teams during project construction.
• Update and modify existing drawings to reflect as-built conditions and changes.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a Civil Draftsman or in a similar drafting role.
• Proficient in using CAD software and other drafting and design tools.
• Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction materials.
• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to interpret technical drawings.
• Good communication skills to effectively collaborate with engineers and project teams.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines with a strong organizational focus.
• A diploma or degree in civil engineering technology or a related field of study.
