Role Summary

SecNinjaz Technologies LLP is a fast-scaling, Made-in-India cybersecurity and AI-native technology venture. We are hiring a Chartered Accountant to own the finance function of a growing startup — running day-to-day accounting and statutory compliance while building the financial backbone that a venture-funded company needs. You will be the finance partner to the founders: turning our numbers into a credible story for the pitch deck, running the diligence room for investors, and keeping the books audit-ready as we raise and grow. This is a hands-on, high-ownership role for someone who is comfortable both closing the books and sitting across the table from a term-sheet.

Key Responsibilities

Core accounting & compliance

• Own accounting entries, ledgers, and reconciliations; lead monthly and annual book closures (Financial Reporting).
  

• Manage GST, TDS, and Income Tax computations, filings, and assessments end-to-end.
  

• Prepare and finalise financial statements in line with Indian Accounting Standards (Ind AS).
  

• Maintain the books in Zoho Books; drive automation and clean, real-time financial data.
  

• Design and enforce Financial Controls — approval matrices, spend policies, and process discipline suited to a scaling startup.
  

• Coordinate statutory, internal, and tax audits; liaise with auditors and close observations promptly.
  

• Handle FEMA and cross-border matters — foreign remittances, ODI/FDI reporting, and compliance for overseas transactions.
  

Startup, fundraising & investor readiness

• Build the financial model, unit economics, and MIS that underpin the pitch deck and board reporting.
  

• Prepare and manage the data room for due diligence; support investors and their advisors through financial, tax, and compliance diligence.
  

• Track cap table hygiene, runway, and burn; produce cash-flow forecasts and scenario plans for fundraising decisions.
  

• Advise founders on the financial implications of pricing, hiring, and structuring rounds (SAFE, convertible, priced equity).
  

• Ensure the startup stays audit-ready and investor-ready at all times as it raises and grows.
  

• Guide and review the work of junior finance staff as the team expands.
  

Required Qualifications & Skills

• Qualified Chartered Accountant (ICAI membership).
  

• 0–2 years of post-qualification experience in accounting, taxation, and compliance.
  

• Strong command of Ind AS, GST, TDS, Income Tax, and Companies Act provisions.
  

• Hands-on proficiency in Zoho Books and advanced MS Excel / financial modelling.
  

• Proven experience in Financial Reporting, Financial Controls, and audit coordination.
  

• Working knowledge of FEMA and cross-border / international taxation.

• Exposure to fundraising, investor due diligence, pitch deck financials, or cap-table management.
  

• Background in the IT, technology, or cybersecurity sector.
  

• Familiarity with ERP-based accounting, transfer pricing, and internal controls.
  

• Strong analytical ability, ownership mindset, and clear stakeholder communication.
