Job Description

A Business Analyst is a pivotal role within the organizational structure, responsible for identifying business needs and determining solutions to business problems. These solutions often include a systems development component, but may also consist of process improvement, organizational change, or strategic planning and policy development. A Business Analyst acts as a bridge between stakeholders and the technology teams, facilitating clear communication and understanding between them. This role requires a combination of technical skills, business knowledge, and analytical prowess to ensure that the project delivers the best possible outcomes for the business. A successful Business Analyst must be able to manage various stakeholders' expectations, ensure the business requirements are met, and operationalize solutions that bring efficiencies and improvement to the organization's operational workflow.


Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough analysis of business needs to develop effective solutions.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to gather and document business requirements.
  • Identify and evaluate business inefficiencies and recommend improvements.
  • Act as a liaison between business units and IT development teams.
  • Prepare detailed reports and presentations outlining business solutions.
  • Validate and verify the functionality of the proposed solutions.
  • Facilitate user acceptance testing and ensure its success.
  • Maintain continuous communication with project stakeholders to update project progress.
  • Support project managers and development teams during system implementation phases.
  • Train and support end-users on new business processes or systems.
  • Utilize data modeling practices to analyze findings and design reports.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements in all business processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Proven experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with business acumen.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact with diverse stakeholders.
  • Familiarity with project management methodologies and software like Agile.
  • Proficient in using data analysis and IT tools such as SQL and Excel.
  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and manage deadlines efficiently.
