Associate (4+ years of client services experience)

Associates work pro-actively and efficiently on multiple client engagements through a combination of solid project management skills, proactive and quality search execution, ownership mentality and strong team-oriented delivery. Each assignment is driven by a team which at minimum comprises of a Consultant, Associate and Executive Assistant often across geographies.


In this role, you will:

  • Contribute actively to the start-up phase of a search, participating in client kick-off meetings and helping shape the search strategy and target company list.
  • Gather intelligence on relevant industries and target companies, identifying potential prospects and sources.
  • Represent clients in the marketplace and present a comprehensive universe of qualified candidates anticipating information needs around industry trends, market findings, candidate reactions and compensation data to drive the search to closure.
  • Prepare organized, insightful client progress reports and provide informed perspectives on how prospects/candidates line up against key selection criteria.
  • Communicate continuously with Consultants and Executive Assistants to remain fully abreast of search developments.
  • Ensure up-to-date assignment, company and candidate information in the Firm's proprietary database (Quest) is always available to colleagues.
  • Build deep expertise in a defined industry, function or geography, and contribute to local, practice or Firm-wide initiatives.


Successful candidates will bring strong communication and assessment abilities, project management ability, results orientation, rigorous attention to detail, intellectual curiosity and will enjoy working internally with a variety of Consultants and externally with diverse, senior-level executives and board members.


What We're Looking For

Successful candidates are self-directed, collaborative, comfortable with ambiguity, and highly organized. They demonstrate a passion for working with people, communicating clearly and cogently, and driving change within a small team to lift business performance and are graceful under pressure, enjoy fast-paced environments and excel at multitasking.


Ideal experience & skills:

  • Strong research skills – experience collecting and organizing information from databases and internet resources; comfort with business reference tools such as Capital IQ, LinkedIn, BoardEx, Naukri and AI tools.
  • Computer literate – strong command of the Microsoft Office platform, with emphasis on Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Service industry expertise – experience in a consulting environment or a role involving significant client service and management of multiple projects to tight timelines, where competing demands are the norm.
  • Education – Postgraduate candidates preferred; open to strong Bachelors (Engineering / Business Management) from a top-tier college.
