Job Description

The Associate Vendor Management role is an exciting opportunity for individuals seeking to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. As an Associate in Vendor Management, you will play a significant role in supporting the vendor management team, coordinating vendor activities, and ensuring service level agreements are met. This role involves interaction with various departments and requires excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach to solving problems. Success in this role comes from the ability to manage and cultivate strong relationships with vendors, negotiate favorable terms, and manage performance to ensure high-quality service delivery.


Responsibilities

  • Assist in the execution and management of vendor contracts and agreements.
  • Monitor vendor performance to ensure compliance with service level agreements.
  • Coordinate with vendors to resolve issues and ensure service quality is maintained.
  • Prepare and present reports on vendor performance and key metrics to management.
  • Support internal teams by facilitating communication and collaboration with vendors.
  • Participate in vendor selection processes, including evaluations and negotiations.
  • Maintain up-to-date records of vendor contracts, communications, and performance data.
  • Ensure that all vendor-related activities comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Assist in identifying opportunities for cost savings and efficiency improvements with vendors.
  • Liaise with vendors to ensure timely delivery of goods and services as required.
  • Develop strong relationships with vendors to support strategic partnership growth.
  • Stay informed on industry trends to identify new procurement opportunities or risks.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in vendor management or related procurement roles.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data effectively.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to manage vendor relationships.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks with minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in using procurement software and tools, such as SAP or Oracle.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities and attention to detail in procurement processes.
