Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Assistant Manager for our Credit department to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in credit management and a proven ability to lead and inspire a team. The Assistant Manager will play a crucial role in analyzing and assessing credit risk, developing credit policies, and managing a team to ensure the company's credit operations run smoothly and efficiently. The position requires someone who is well-versed in financial analysis, credit evaluation, and risk management strategies, ensuring that credit losses are minimized while maximizing revenue opportunities. The successful candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and the capacity to communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders at all levels.


Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of credit analysts and support staff effectively.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor credit policies and procedures within the organization.
  • Analyze credit data and financial statements to determine the degree of risk involved.
  • Review and adjust credit lines for existing and new clients appropriately and timely.
  • Work closely with sales and accounts receivable teams to support credit management process.
  • Prepare credit reports and present findings to senior management on a regular basis.
  • Ensure all credit activities comply with company policies and regulatory standards.
  • Negotiate payment plans with clients and reduce delinquent accounts to minimize losses.
  • Provide training and guidance to team members on credit policies and procedures.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and changes in regulatory requirements affecting credit management.
  • Investigate and resolve any discrepancies or issues with customers' accounts swiftly.
  • Collaborate with IT to enhance credit management systems and tools to improve efficiency.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field is required.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in credit management or a related area.
  • Proven experience leading and managing a credit or financial team successfully.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data effectively.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, for diverse audiences.
  • Proficiency in credit management software and Microsoft Office Suite applications.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously with ease.
