Job Description

As an Accounts Assistant, you will play a vital role in a company's finance team by supporting various accounting tasks. This role involves working closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial information is maintained and deadlines are met. You will assist senior accountants in managing accounts payable and receivable, maintaining financial records, and preparing financial reports. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will be essential in managing multiple tasks efficiently. Responsibilities

  • Assist with the preparation and maintenance of financial records and reports for review.
  • Manage accounts payable and receivable by ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
  • Support the reconciliation of bank statements to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Compile financial data and assist in preparing month-end and year-end financial statements.
  • Provide administrative support to the finance department by managing documents and filing systems.
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets by collecting and consolidating financial data.
  • Answer queries from vendors and internal departments regarding financial transactions.
  • Help in monitoring budget expenditures and reporting discrepancies to senior accountants.
  • Support payroll activities by compiling employee timesheets and verifying accuracy.
  • Ensure all financial transactions comply with company policies and regulations.
  • Participate in audits by providing necessary documentation and information to auditors.
  • Identify and address any discrepancies in financial records with thorough analysis.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Previous experience in accounting or a related financial position desired.
  • Familiarity with accounting software and proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and high level of accuracy in financial tasks.
  • Good communication skills to interact with vendors and internal departments.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
