Job Purpose

The Bio Energy business is developing collection centres in various locations to collect loose biomass from farms and dispatch densified biomass from its densification units, as well as CBG and organic manure from its CBG plants located in various states in India. The Logistics Sourcing Manager is responsible for performing logistics sourcing activities aligned with HSE and company guidelines. This role involves coordinating with the logistics operation team for inbound and outbound logistics requirements and monitoring vendors KPIs. The manager is also responsible for creating POs/ARCs in the system and should have sound knowledge of the SAP MM module

Key Accountabilities

  • Managing and optimizing the entire supply chain process and cost of CBG (compressed biogas) and Densification business by suggest and drive new initiatives related to innovative equipment / vehicles.
  • Co-ordinate with logistics operation team and feedstock team for their transportation requirement to ensure timely completion of PO / ARC to vendors through RFQ / Auction process.
  • Co-ordinate with logistics operation team for KPI monitoring of all logistics service providers on monthly basis and ensure to improve logistics performance.
  • Ensure 100% timely create ARC / PO and share with service providers related to logistics services.
  • Knowledge in SAP for registration of new logistics service providers, PR creation, PO/ARC creation etc.
  • Generating regular reports and MIS for senior management to communicate logistics performance and initiatives.
  • Ensuring compliance with regulations, safety standards etc. for RM and FG transportation.
  • Developing contingency plans for unforeseen events that may disrupt logistics.
  • Support plant operation team for any system related issues for inbound and outbound logistics.
  • Drive down cost of entire bioenergy logistics network i.e. farm to CCs/TCCs, CCs/TCCs to plant / customer, CBG plant to ROs.
  • Explore new avenues in transportation like EV, FCEV, ICE H2, ICE CBG, Multimodal etc. to bring innovativeness that drives sustainability & economics through green initiative.
  • Co-ordinate with FC&A team to ensure payment of logistics service provider as per their Agreement T&C.

Educational Qualifications

Engineering / Commerce Graduate + Postgraduate in any discipline.

Relevant Experience

More than 5 years of experience, prefer experienced in logistics sourcing.
