What we need:

Reporting to the Head of Procurement to ensure the strategic sourcing, negotiation, and purchasing activities align with the organization’s goals. The role is required to develop supplier partnerships, drive cost-efficiency, and support operational excellence across all business units. This role will be based at our site office in Navi Mumbai.

Key responsibilities:

• Develop and implement procurement strategies that are aligned with organizational goals and ensure cost-effectiveness, quality, and timely delivery.
• Lead the procurement team in sourcing goods and services, consultants, long-lead equipment, general contractors, and specialist contractors incl. contract negotiations, and supplier performance management.
• Identify and mitigate supply chain risks, ensuring business continuity and compliance with company policies. Including maintaining supplier relationships and continuously evaluating supplier performance and compliance.
• Enforce company’s procurement policies, processes, and systems for efficient and transparent operations.
• Manage procurement budgets and deliver cost savings through strategic sourcing initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand, align procurement activities, and support project execution.
• Continuously assess market trends, benchmark costs, and drive innovation in procurement practices.
• Collaborate with platform to forecast demand, align procurement plans, and support project execution.
• Compile tender documentation, evaluation reports, and 3QF/approval packages for management endorsement.
• Create purchase requisitions and coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate and timely issuance of purchase orders.
• Prepare, maintain, and utilize Procurement Strategy, Tender Event Schedules, Procurement Trackers, and other tools to plan and control procurement activities including equipment delivery tracking and vendor status updates.
• Actively champion and implement the organization’s policies on health & safety, environment, energy, quality, information security, and business continuity, ensuring adherence to incident reporting, legal, and regulatory requirements.

The successful candidate:

• Bachelor’s degree of Engineering in Electrical/Mechanical.
• Minimum 15 years’ experience in procurement, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role and DC industry experience is must.
• Proven ability to lead procurement strategy, manage supplier relationships, and deliver measurable cost savings.
• Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience in managing procurement for large-scale operations across multiple categories.
• Experience in ERP systems and procurement software tools (e.g., SAP, Oracle, Coupa).
• Strategic thinker with a problem-solving mindset and ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Experience managing and developing high-performing procurement teams.
