Job Purpose: To manage and maintain the integrity, performance, and security of manufacturing site network infrastructures across multiple CBG plant locations. This role ensures uninterrupted network connectivity for critical OT systems (SCADA, PLCs, IoT devices) and supports real-time data availability for centralized monitoring and analytics.
Key Responsibilities
Production Network Management:
Design, configure, and maintain production floor networks including LAN, VLANs, switches, firewalls, routers, and wireless APs.
Ensure segregation and security between OT (Operational Technology) and IT networks while maintaining seamless data flow.
Multi-Plant Network Coordination:
Oversee network infrastructure setup and maintenance across multiple CBG plant sites in different states.
Monitor network performance, diagnose connectivity issues, and ensure maximum uptime of plant-critical systems.
Support for Plant Digital Systems:
Provide reliable network connectivity for systems such as SCADA, IoT sensors, CCTV, and remote monitoring tools.
Coordinate with the application and control system teams to ensure infrastructure readiness for digital deployments.
Network Security & Compliance:
Implement best practices for cybersecurity, including firewall rules, VLAN isolation, endpoint protection, and access control lists (ACLs).
Ensure compliance with corporate IT security policies and audit readiness for production network infrastructure.
Troubleshooting & Issue Resolution:
Serve as the escalation point for advanced network issues at plant locations.
Coordinate with OEMs, ISPs, and infrastructure vendors for resolution of persistent issues or upgrades.
Documentation & Reporting:
Maintain documentation of network topology, IP schemas, device configurations, and incident logs.
Provide regular status reports and dashboards on network health, outages, and changes.
Key Requirements
B.E/B.Tech
Strong hands-on experience in configuring devices of prominent OEMs, VLANs, firewalls and industrial switches.
Good understanding of network protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, SNMP) and OT network best practices.
Willingness to travel across plant sites in different states for setup and support.
