POSITION : CONSULTANT

REPORTING TO : MEDICAL DIRECTOR/ CEO

QUALIFICATION : MBBS/ DGO/ DNB/ MD

DUTY HOURS : AS PER SCHEDULED REQUIREMENTS

Job Description

Key areas of responsibility:

• To provide expert consultation and manage all patients related to Gynae
• Interaction with patient attendants to brief them about current status, anticipated recovery and any other specific issues or problems.
• To conduct and supervise all tests / procedures related to Gynae.
• Document & review patient’s histories.
• Perform independently / assist in procedures as per the clinical privileges authorized.
• Direct the work to nurses, residents & other staff to provide patient care and taking patient round Morning & Evening.
• To perform all Gynae surgery, Emergency procedures & Handle OPD, IPD & Emergency cases & also handle critical Gynae cases.
• To suggest/ recommend use of certain managerial tools/ techniques/ skills/ to upgrade the quality of patient care.
• To take part in all regular CMEs.
• Understand responsibility pertaining to hospital codes.
• Must be familiar with NABH standards, protocols and documentation process.
• To be well groomed, punctual & adhere to company policies and practices, familiar with NABH protocols.
• To comply with patient safety policy.
• To ensure safe utilization of equipments and proper waste disposal system.
• To be involved in quality Assurance / Quality control activities.
• To perform all the jobs as may be assigned due to exigencies of work.
• Participation in Continuous Quality Improvement.
• To be a part of the team involved in Hospital promotion activities in hospital & outside.
