The Work Youll Do
As a Business Development Representative at Sovos, youll be at the front lines of building market demand for our industry-leading tax compliance solutions. Through strategic prospecting, networking, and marketing campaign follow-up, youll connect with businesses and educate them on how Sovos solves complex compliance challenges.
This is an excellent launchpad for a sales career at a global technology company. Youll develop valuable skills in consultative selling, pipeline management, and stakeholder engagement while partnering with experienced Sales Executives to drive real business results.
More Specifically, You Will
- Build market demand through networking, sales prospecting, and marketing campaign follow-up
- Achieve pipeline creation and revenue quotas while contributing to MDR team objectives
- Partner with Sales Executives to identify and execute territory plans that drive results
- Independently introduce and market Sovos solutions to customers and prospects
- Execute a formalized telemarketing and selling process with professionalism and persistence
- Develop and deliver regular forecasts of revenue goals and telemarketing objectives
- Manage multiple sales opportunities concurrently, actively developing pipeline across accounts
- Work directly with customers to assist with implementation of Sovos products and services
- Identify and implement improvements to telemarketing strategies, processes, documents, and tools that benefit the Market Development team and prospects
- Engage effectively with mid-level and executive contacts at client organizations
- Leverage AI tools and emerging technologies to enhance prospecting efficiency and outreach effectiveness
- Contribute ideas that make the Market Development team stronger and more effective
What We Need From You
- Bachelors degree
- 0-12 months of experience as a Business Development Representative or equivalent sales experience
- Strong team orientation with a desire to contribute to collective success
- Self-motivated and quick learner with a genuine desire to grow and improve
- Effective communication skills (written, verbal, and presentation) with ability to present to groups of all sizes
- Strong planning, organizing, and prioritization skills
- Creative problem-solving abilities with adaptability in conversations
- Professional demeanor that projects a positive image to external parties
- Proficiency with CRM solutions (e.g., Salesforce) and Microsoft Office suite
- Ability to engage effectively with mid-level and executive contacts
- Experience with or enthusiasm for AI-powered sales tools and emerging technologies
