Job Description

State Head (Hunger Free World)

  • Oversee overall Hunger Free World (HFW) operations at the state level

  • Provide leadership, supervision, and direction to Zonal Heads and field teams

  • Develop and execute state-level plans aligned with national strategies and targets

  • Monitor zonal heads performance through regular reviews, field feedback, and reports

  • Ensure effective implementation of MLC, SMD, SMI, Grandma Homes and WASH, and outreach programs across the state

  • Make a surprise visit to the HFW working locations (MLC, SMD, SMI and WASH)

  • Monitor student enrolment, attendance, assessments etc

  • Ensure uniform adherence to the SOPs, and quality benchmarks

  • Ensure proper use, monitoring, and maintenance of HFW offices, and facilities

  • Monitor utilization and safeguarding of HFW assets, equipment, and learning materials

  • Ensure responsible use of partner or other organizational properties entrusted to HFW

  • Ensure accurate documentation and safeguarding of all records, including academic, administrative, financial, and legal documents

  • Monitor maintenance of registers, reports, MoMs, assessment records, and digital files

  • Ensure timely uploading and secure storage of documents in approved systems or shared drives

  • Lead recruitment, deployment, and performance management of Zonal Heads and key staff

  • Ensure regular training, mentoring, and performance reviews of teams

  • Address escalated operational, academic, and administrative issues

  • Guide and monitor community engagement and outreach activities across zones

  • Strengthen partnerships with government departments, schools, NGOs, and other stakeholders

  • Oversee state-level budgets, resources, and logistics

  • Ensure optimal utilization of funds and compliance with financial controls

  • Support audits, inspections, and donor or government reviews

  • Identify opportunities for program expansion, scale-up, or consolidation within the state

  • Manage kitchen inventory and supplies

  • Ensure quality and quantity in nutritional meals at the MLCs.

  • Ensure smooth onboarding, transition, or exit of centers as per program plans

  • Act as the key liaison between National Heads and Regional Head

  • Ensure timely communication of directives and upward reporting

  • Maintain integrity and promote accountability, transparency, and asset responsibility across all HFW operations
