Voyage Optimisation Specialist at ZeroNorth


As a Voyage Optimisation Specialist you will be driving and accelerating success with both internal and external stakeholders in a cross-functional environment.


Key responsibilities:


  • Work closely with the customer’s operations team to understand their business model, strategy, and needs.
  • Act as a specialist to help customers achieve digitalization and sustainability goals through ZeroNorth’s technology.
  • Take charge of vessel voyages, advising on optimal routes and speeds based on commercial needs and agreements.
  • Monitor the fleet and ensure maximum financial benefit through the ZeroNorth platform by coordinating with operators and masters to implement necessary changes.
  • Analyse completed voyages and provide reports and feedback to internal and external stakeholders—including performance evaluations and claims support.
  • Own user feedback and challenges, offering innovative solutions tailored to their business model for full platform potential.
  • Provide strategic guidance to clients on scaling up fleet-wide use of ZeroNorth solutions, helping them realize strong ROI and meet KPIs.
  • Support users through the operational, educational, and governance aspects of a successful ZeroNorth journey.
  • Collaborate with the User Success team to support onboarding and scale-up of existing users.
  • Maintain strong relationships with product and internal teams, recommending solutions based on user feedback and contributing to new revenue opportunities.


Your profile:


  • Has 2+ years of experience in the shipping industry ideally in a commercial operations role or similar, along with senior-level experience sailing on commercial vessels.
  • Is passionate about data, digital transformation, and delivering innovative solutions to users.
  • Is fluent in both spoken and written English.
  • Enjoys being part of a collaborative team and finds purpose in creating customer value through problem-solving.
  • Has a curious mindset, constantly seeking ways to improve existing solutions by exploring and applying available information and insights.
