Join our supportive and high performing team as a Vice President in Macquarie Asset Management Real Assets in Mumbai, focusing on the Macquarie Asia Infrastructure Fund series which has a mandate to invest equity and equity-like instruments directly into infrastructure businesses and assets throughout Asia-Pacific. You will primarily focus on the coverage, execution, and asset management of infrastructure opportunities more broadly in the India region.

What role will you play?

You will be an integral member of the team with exposure across the full life cycle of investments covering the India market, primarily leading and managing the due diligence process, sourcing new investment opportunities and asset management of portfolio businesses, refinancings and exits. Operating as a key part of the investment and asset management team, you will work closely with colleagues and external advisors in sourcing, screening, assessing and negotiating transactions, developing and managing financial models, performing valuations and due diligence, and also liaising with the management of the portfolio companies and third-party advisors.

In addition, you will prepare investment papers for approval by the investment committee to ensure they make successful investment and asset management decisions in line with the investment strategy of our managed funds.

What You Offer

  • 10+ years’ experience in investment management in India working with an asset management firm, investment bank and/or management consulting firm
  • Extensive experience leading due diligence process and demonstrated leadership skills would be an advantage
  • High numeracy skills and excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Highly motivated, proactive and resilient with sound business judgement and strong interpersonal skills
  • Flexible, entrepreneurial and innovative with the credibility and professional polish to represent the infrastructure business of Macquarie both internally and externally.
