Responsibilities
Job Summary / Job Purpose-:
- Oversight day to day BO process managed by India Shared Service Centre for MARK products. Make sure the process complies with local and group requirements
- Perform onshore BO process with good delivery quality
- Accurately prepare regulatory reporting and timely submit the reports
- Regulatory liaison and advisor for Treasury operations/related activities when possible
- Assist the manager to review of new Treasury products and operational processes
- Assist on projects/automation of Treasury back-office activities in alignment to global processes where possible.
Main Responsibilities-:
Treasury Operations
- Main production contact for Treasury Operations, provide support to front office on operational topics.
- Coordinate GSC and onshore teams to complete daily settlement timely.
- Responsible for INR position management.
- Work with GSC teams to support CCIL central clearing process.
- Responsible for data quality, monitoring and follow up of breaks.
- Assist on ad hoc Treasury Operation topics.
Regulatory Reporting Operations
- Report owner for GBTO India reports, facing regulator in case of query
- Animate the control framework of GBTO reports for the entity including reports produced by other GBTO units or in GSC.
- Role of submitter of the reports for GBTO
- Ensure proper back up of the regulatory reporting tasks (could be applicable for Treasury tasks as well)
- Perform regulatory report production tasks in compliance with regulators requirements in terms of timeliness, completeness, and accuracy.
- Control regulatory reporting quality according to regional standard.
Others
- Able to work with stakeholders on transversal tasks.
- Able to perform cross operation support when required.
- Pro-actively identify process improvement possibilities and propose recommendation for streamlining.
REGULATORY
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory guidelines on Treasury/Regulatory reporting including regulatory changes.
- Attend training on regulatory guidelines and represent SG Bank in RBI/FEDAI/IBA/CCIL meetings as and when required.
- Comply with Code of Conduct as well as other applicable laws and local regulations, internal policies, compliance rules and procedures.
Other Tasks
- Assist to manage concurrent audit, internal audits and RBI audits query from time to time.
- Participate and contribute to governance meetings with front office and back-office and regional teams
- Continuous process improvement and automation to meet business push and regulatory requirements.
- Support local and global projects impacting local operations to align with bank’s policies.
Required
Profile required
Academic Background: Post Graduation in any field.
Relevant Working Experience : 8 - 10 years in banking operations of which at least 3 years should be Treasury Operations.
Skills and Competencies Required-:
- Detailed knowledge on Treasury business and operations including RBI/FEMA/FEDAI regulations.
- Knowledge of operational risk and internal controls.
- Good communication and English writing skills.
