About the Role

The Trade Desk Manager plays a critical role in managing trade and forex operations across assigned branches. This position ensures timely and compliant processing of trade transactions while delivering superior customer service. The role involves close coordination with branch teams, trade operations, product, and compliance units to facilitate smooth execution of trade-related activities. The ideal candidate will possess strong regulatory knowledge and operational expertise to support complex transactions and client servicing.

Key Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities

  • Review and process trade documents submitted by branches as the first level of scrutiny.
  • Ensure timely and accurate execution of all trade and forex operations for assigned branches.
  • Verify that transactions comply with RBI, FEMA guidelines, and internal bank policies.
  • Manage exceptions, track transaction status, and resolve queries or discrepancies raised by the trade processing unit.
  • Handle client complaints efficiently and ensure resolution within defined turnaround times (TAT).
  • Engage proactively with key clients to address important matters and enhance service delivery.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of RBI & FEMA regulations and UCPDC standards.
  • Coordinate with internal stakeholders such as trade processing, product, and compliance teams to ensure timely transaction processing.

Secondary Responsibilities

  • Support the monitoring team in following up with clients for regulatory documentation and outstanding items.
  • Handle documentation for complex transactions coordinate follow-ups with branches and trade processing units.

What We Are Looking For

Education

  • Graduate in any discipline (Full time)

Experience

  • 5 to years of relevant experience in trade and forex operations, preferably within branch banking.

Skills and Attributes

  • In-depth knowledge of trade finance, RBI & FEMA regulations, and UCPDC.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Fluent in English with excellent interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate across departments.
  • High attention to detail and commitment to compliance.
  • Customer-centric approach with a focus on service excellence.
  • Proficiency in handling documentation for complex financial transactions.
