A Territory Service Representative - Mechanical is responsible for representing the company in a specific geographical area, ensuring that all mechanical service needs of customers are addressed efficiently and effectively. Their key role involves providing on-site technical support, conducting regular maintenance, repairs, and installations of mechanical systems, and nurturing strong relationships with clients to promote satisfaction and service continuity. A successful Territory Service Representative will be a mechanically skilled professional with excellent problem-solving capabilities, adept at working independently as well as part of a larger service team. They are expected to have a thorough understanding of mechanical systems and the ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics. Customer support is critical in this role, as they are the face of the company in the field, promptly responding to service calls and proactively identifying potential issues before they become major problems. This role demands travel within the territory, requiring the ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks to ensure customer satisfaction at all times.


Responsibilities

  • Perform regular maintenance and servicing of mechanical systems and equipment on-site.
  • Respond promptly to service requests, diagnosing and resolving mechanical issues efficiently.
  • Conduct installations of mechanical systems, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through excellent communication and service.
  • Keep accurate records of service visits, repairs, and maintenance activities.
  • Provide detailed reports on service activities, issues encountered, and actions taken.
  • Educate customers on proper usage and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for upselling company products and services during site visits.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and best practices to provide top-notch services.
  • Ensure all work complies with corporate policies, safety regulations, and best practice standards.
  • Collaborate with technical teams to resolve complex technical problems swiftly.
  • Manage service schedules effectively to maximize productivity and customer satisfaction within the territory.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mechanical systems preferred.
  • Proven experience in mechanical service, maintenance, or a related field is required.
  • In-depth knowledge of mechanical systems and tools, along with troubleshooting skills.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills for client interactions.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical documents and service manuals proficiently.
  • Strong organizational skills with a capability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
  • Willingness to travel extensively within the territory and work independently.
