Technical Specialist - PBI Fabric

Title: Senior Quality Assurance Engineer

Location: Hyderabad/Mumbai/Bangalore

Education: Bachelor’s Degree

Experience Level: 8+

Power BI Development
·    Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports for business stakeholders.
·    Create and maintain semantic models and datasets.
·    Build advanced DAX measures, KPIs, and business calculations.
·    Design efficient data models using Star Schema principles.
·    Optimize report performance and dataset refreshes.
·    Implement Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).
·    Configure incremental refresh and aggregation strategies.
 

Microsoft Fabric
·    Work with Microsoft Fabric components including: 
o    OneLake
o    Lakehouse
o    Dataflows Gen2
o    Warehouses
o    Data Factory Pipelines
o    Direct Lake Semantic Models
·    Support migration of Power BI workloads to Microsoft Fabric.
·    Collaborate with Data Engineers for Fabric-based analytics solutions.
·    Utilize Fabric data assets for reporting and self-service BI.
 

Data Modeling & Analytics
·    Design and maintain enterprise data models.
·    Create reusable datasets for multiple business functions.
·    Understand and implement dimensional modeling concepts.
·    Work closely with business users to define KPIs and reporting requirements.
 

Governance & Security
·    Implement data security and governance standards.
·    Manage workspace access and deployment pipelines.
·    Ensure report compliance with organizational standards.
·    Monitor Power BI capacity utilization and refresh performance.
