As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for managing shift operations, facilitating cross-functional communication, and driving process improvements. Key responsibilities include performance management, data-driven decision making, and maintaining effective relationships with both internal stakeholders (Finance, Ops Excellence, Fulfillment Centers) and external partners (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers). The role requires strong analytical capabilities to identify trends, measure team performance, and implement strategic improvements.

Technical proficiency in data management tools (Excel, Access, SQL) is highly valued, as the position involves extensive data analysis and reporting. The successful candidate must demonstrate excellent written and verbal communication skills, proven leadership abilities, and a track record of successfully implementing process improvements. Most importantly, they should embody Amazons customer-centric philosophy while driving operational excellence.

Key job responsibilities

Core Responsibilities and Performance Management

The role entails comprehensive shift management with a focus on continuous improvement and change implementation. The Team Lead will be responsible for developing and monitoring key performance indicators to drive operational excellence and achieve business objectives. A critical aspect of this position involves analyzing trends, leveraging data-driven insights, and implementing strategic decisions to enhance team effectiveness.

Stakeholder Management and Technical Expertise

The position requires exceptional stakeholder management skills, maintaining productive relationships with both external partners (Carriers, Vendors/Suppliers) and internal teams (Finance, Operations Excellence, Fulfillment Centers). The Team Lead will serve as a primary point of contact for issue escalation and resolution, ensuring proper communication channels are maintained throughout the problem-solving process. Additionally, proficiency in data management tools (Excel, Access, SQL) is essential for conducting detailed analysis, generating reports, and presenting actionable insights to drive business performance.

A day in the life

The Team Lead role focuses on shift management excellence, encompassing performance optimization and strategic change implementation. Key responsibilities include developing metrics, analyzing trends, and making data-driven decisions to achieve business objectives and enhance team effectiveness.

About The Team

This role will be part of a 7 membered team which takes care of Air and Rail operations for West. All job roles will be reporting to the Regional Manager.

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelors degree
• Speak, write, and read fluently in English
